Our recent event at Mount Kenya University (MKU) was an extraordinary success, bringing together an enthusiastic student body eager to learn about and engage with Palscity’s diverse opportunities. The warm reception from student leaders and the seamless organization contributed to an impactful day of community building and networking.
A Warm Welcome and Strategic Setup
From the moment we arrived at Mount Kenya University, the support from the student leaders was palpable. They guided us to a prime location on campus, ensuring maximum visibility and engagement with students. Our setup, provided by Jayden Events, included a bonus of extra tables and chairs, enhancing our booth’s capacity to accommodate the steady stream of interested students.
Engaging Presentations and Interactive Sessions
Throughout the day, we conducted comprehensive presentations on Palscity’s three main wings: Social Media, Sacco, and Foundation. Each session was designed to inform and inspire students about the various ways they could benefit from joining the Palscity community.
– Palscity Social Media: We demonstrated the registration process, explained how students can earn points through engagement, and highlighted opportunities within our Gig Economy and influencer monetization features.
– Palscity Sacco: Our team covered essential topics such as saving, buying shares, and acquiring loans, emphasizing the importance of financial preparedness and the benefits of securing business startup capital.
– Palscity Foundation: We introduced our ongoing recruitment efforts, detailed our various programs, and showcased the Hotspots feature aimed at fostering community development.
Networking and Community Building
The event was not only about presentations but also about building lasting connections. We collected contact information from numerous students and have added them to our WhatsApp and Palscitygroups to ensure continuous engagement and support. This direct line of communication will facilitate ongoing dialogue and participation in future Palscity activities.
Establishing a Palscity Club at MKU
In the evening, we held a brief meeting with the EASI Club (Earn Save & Invest). We discussed the formation of a Palscity Club at MKU, identified dedicated officials, and representatives who will assist in establishing and promoting the club. This marks a significant step towards integrating Palscity more deeply into the MKU community.
