The economic impact of the COVID-18 has been very severe. Vulnerable groups, such as the poor, informal sector workers, women, and youth, suffered disproportionately from reduced opportunities and unequal access to social safety nets.

In Africa for instance, the impacts of COVID-19 could push up to over 40 million people into extreme poverty, erasing an estimated five years of progress in fighting poverty.

Africa is a diverse continent offering adequate human and natural resources that have the potential to yield inclusive growth and eradicate poverty in the region, enabling Africans across the continent to live healthier and more prosperous lives.

For economic prosperity in our society, Palscity Foundation seeks to work closely with community members, to empower them through basic economic knowledge. To partner with different organizations and business entities in empowering society on economic matters.

Business and Entrepreneurship Program

Business is one’s activity of making a living or making money through producing or buying and selling of commodities. Business can also be an organization or enterprising entity engaged in commercial, industrial, or professional activities with the main target of making a profit.

Entrepreneurship, on the other hand, is the ability and readiness to develop, organize and run a business enterprise.

Business and Entrepreneurship are very closely related.

A business person makes a business out of a pre-existing idea or product, and they usually do it for profit while taking very calculated and managed risks. While an entrepreneur is usually the inventor of an idea or product.

In this program, we seek to mentor more people in society, especially young people, to be self-reliant through business innovation. To enable them, create employment for themselves and others leading to low dependence rates in society.

Our plan is to partner with experienced entrepreneurs and business people to offer basic business and entrepreneurial knowledge and skills to society. Also to partner with financial institutions that will offer financial literacy programs and if possible financial support to the ready entrepreneurs.  

Agribusiness Program

Agribusiness is a combination of two words “agriculture” and “business” and refers to any business related to farming and farming related as well. It encompasses all the economic activities that are related to farming.

Such activities are: Crop Production and Farming; Chemicals; Breeding Farm Machinery; Distribution; Marketing etc.

Food demand is rising each day due to increase in human population. Most people aren’t aware of the food market that is quite huge and how to utilize it to grow economically.

Through agriculture, one creates an independent mindset. Investing in agriculture though the help of the modern technology will enable the society especially the youth, to become independent and focused individuals who will be able to create wealth out of their own efforts and in turn contribute to economic growth and limit growing social vices in the society due to lack of employment.

Palscity Foundation will work hand in hand with various stakeholders in order to provide market for farm produce through e-commerce platform that gives opportunity to the youth and as well, connect them to national and international markets, meet food demand and create job opportunities.

Science, Technology, Innovation and Infrastructure Program.

Science is the systematic study of structure and behavior of the natural and physical world.

Technology is the practical application of scientific research and studies.

Innovation is the art of coming with new ideas and ways of doing things.

Infrastructure is the physical and organizational structures and facilities like buildings and roads, needed for the operation of a society.

As we work hard all day to make the world a better place, Palscity Foundation, aims at making the members of the society especially the youth to be more creative in what they do and be job creators instead of being job seekers.

This program aims at recognizing and celebrating the best in local businesses providing a unique opportunity to promote the indispensable role businesses play in the global economy.

Our programs shall be rolled out down to the village levels, to enable starting and small businesses get such a platform to showcase their businesses as a way of empowering them through Palscity Foundation.

Job Market Program (Internships and Job Creation) Program

Palscity Foundation seeks to create a unique platform for offering the right and timely information on available opportunities in the job market. Also creating a guidance platform for the new entrants into the job market on psychological expectations.
